Working procedures:
Every year, the National Statistics Office of the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India, allocates rural and urban samples to collect primary data as per the schedules prescribed for the collection of socio-economic data on various subjects for policy formulation in public interest.
In rural and urban sample blocks allotted by the National Statistics Office, departmentally trained field investigators go door to door and collect primary data as per prescribed schedules on various socio-economic subjects. Data entry and validation work is done by reviewing the data stored in the software obtained from the National Statistics Office. In data tabulation software, data is processed and various data tables and reports are prepared and published.

In the 76th round of National Sample Survey, survey work on the subject of Drinking Water and Housing Condition and Persons with Disability will be conducted for 6 months from July 1, 2018 Was done during the period. The report has been prepared after data processing,validation, tabulation of the data collected as per the prescribed schedules on the related subject. In this way, all the work of the 76th round has been completed, the report has been prepared, published and uploaded on the website.

In the 79th round of National Sample Survey, from July, 2022 to June, 2023, information on the subject "AYUSH and Comprehensive Annual Modular Survey (CAMS)" 352 rural samples and 288 urban samples, total field survey work of 640 samples allotted and Data entry work has been completed.
The upcoming 80th round of regional survey work will be started within the prescribed time period as per the instructions of the Government of India.
